Ingredients required
Blueberry
½ cup( almost 120 g ) of Blueberries required that are soft and juicy enough.
Apple
1 medium-sized apple peeling or non-peeling is your choice. ( I would recommend peeling because apples’ outer layering contains fiber but I thought, it would be difficult for babies to digest it in the beginning. Once they are 1 year old then it will save enough to serve!)
Nutmeg spice
The addition of nutmeg spice to baby food (1 pinch) is just for adding more flavor and aroma to the puree recipes

Instructions
Washing
Take a deep bowl add whole fruits to it and Wash them carefully
Cutting
- Take an apple. Peel it with a sharp knife. Then cut it evenly into two halves
- Take out the inner seed-contained area with a knife tip.
- Take a deep saucepan and add water almost 2 cups of water to it. Peeled apple slices will be added. Wait until the first boil.
- Let it simmer for 3 minutes. Keep on stirring. Now add ½ cup of blueberries to it.
- Let it simmer for another 3 minutes until apples and berries become softer to the touch.
- Here first drain out the excess water from the saucepan. But not all the liquid because we need some liquid to blend our puree.
- With the help of a spoon take out all the boiled apple and blueberry mixture in a food processor. Add 1 tbsp of sugar to add sweeter flavor, and 1 pinch of nutmeg spice.
- Blend it until smooth creamy puree form. Add remaining liquid if required.
Serving Time
Blueberry and apple puree are best to serve at lunchtime and breakfast.

Tips
- Keep the flame low once it reaches boiling.
- Don’t choose rotten apples always choose fresh ones.
- You may grind banana with it also for a sweet taste.
Storing & Preservation
Refrigeration
Take freezing plates and add an even amount of puree to each. Tap them to remove all air pockets. Freeze for 24 hours.
Advantage
You can defrost according to the baby’s requirements.
For longer Time preservation:
For longer time preservation purposes we just need to put all our baby puree in a container that must be airtight with some drops of lime juice inside. By using this method we can store them for almost 3 months.
Thawing
It is the process through which we can defrost the frozen purees in a container for serving again to our babies. When it comes to room temperature add 2-3 tbsp of regular milk to attain the required consistency.

Ingredients
1 medium-sized fresh apple
½ cup of fresh Blueberries.Water for boiling
Sugar 1tpsp
Nutmeg spice 1 pinch
Directions
- Core and peel the apple. Cut into small chunks.
- Take a saucepan and add some water. Put apple chunks cover with water.
- Let it simmer for 3 minutes.
- After three minutes add ½ cup of blueberries and let it simmer again for 3 minutes
- Drain excessive water.
- Use a blend or food processor for blending boiled apples and blueberries.
- Add nutmeg spice and sugar for a sweet taste.
Notes
- If you want to make the puree more consistent then add 2-3 tbsp of milk inside. It’s up to your choice.
- Bananas can be also added if you want more sweetness but then skip the addition of sugar because the taste will be weird.
- There are also options to use other spices cinnamon, coriander, oregano, and rosemary in the same amount of 1 pinch. Feel free to add curd 2-3 tbsp while blending to create more consistency.
