Peach Puree in two different ways

There are two methods for making peach puree: with the skin on or with the skin off. Let’s find out the difference between the two methods.

Peaches without peeling off for puree

New peaches with the skin on – this choice works perfectly assuming you have delicious, ready peaches and a powerful blender that can thoroughly puree the skins until they’re imperceptible. I have a new sharp blender so I commonly go this course since it’s quicker and the outcome is smooth.

Peaches with peeling off

The Peaches with their skin off are the best option for those who do have not such a blender that is quite fine in the result.

What types of Peaches are best for Puree?

I used fresh organic peaches for making this recipe. You may also use frozen forms according to the season time by thawing them at room temperature. Try to find fully ripped peach for having the best texture and sweetness. Avoid hard peaches find ripped and soft ones. But not a softer one because that may be rotten.

Required Ingredients

Peaches

Our main ingredient was 2 peach fruit of medium size. Usually, in the market, two-color peaches are available white(sweeter) and yellow. I always choose the yellow ones as they bring with appealing yellow color like mangoes and my baby loves their delightful puree to eat!!

Peanut butter

As I have not used sugar as a taste developer I used 1 small tbsp of peanut butter to elevate the taste level.

Cinnamon spice

Spice is optional if you want to go with the original fruit texture then skip it. Here I added 1 pinch of cinnamon spice to change the typical taste of peaches.

Peach puree amalgam with some other recipes

Here is a combination of peach puree with some other recipes and items:

  • With banana smash
  • Avocado puree
  • Topping on pancake
  • As a  topping on ice cream

Try Peach puree paired with some veggies also

  • Broccoli puree
  • Other fruit – mango, strawberries, banana, apples, banana
  • Dairy – yogurt, cottage cheese
  • Grains – Wheat, oats
  • With Seasonings and spices–  ginger, mint, nutmeg, cinnamon

Storage Instruction

Refrigeration

For a short period of duration, we store the puree in the refrigerator. For this purpose, we take a container (airtight) and put the leftover puree.

Freezing

For longer-term preservation, we used the freezing method.

  • Spoon puree into a freezing plate evenly. Tap it on the table to avoid all air pockets). Try not to overload.
  • Put the top on the capacity compartment or cover it with a piece of cling wrap, and mark it with the date and recipe name.
  • Place the plate into the freezer and let it freeze totally.
  • Jump out the child’s food 3D shapes and spot them in a zip lock baggie or stasher sack. Remember to relabel the baggie or stager pack for future reference.

Recipe Notes

  • Frozen peaches: You can involve frozen peaches in this puree. Let the peaches defrost totally in the ice chest, then add them to your food processor or blender for puree. If you need the peach puree to be sans skin, you can steam or heat the defrosted peach cuts first, which will make them simpler to strip.
  • I have added peanut butter to add more flavor. It’s optional. Skip if you want.
  • Sugar is not necessary. If your baby wants more sweetness then feel free to add 1/2 tbsp. of sugar.
