Ingredients
Blueberries are the best starter food for babies of around 4-6 months. Here in this yummy puree recipe, I used 1/2 cup of fresh rounded blueberries.
Bananas
2 bananas with black spotted peel which are fully ripped.
Milk
Here I used fresh milk to give smoothness and texture to the puree along with creaminess.
Spice
I used 1 pinch of nutmeg spice to add more flavor and goodness. It’s totally up to your choice.
Required instructions
There is no need to follow tough steps here. Just throw every ingredient into a blender and blend to have a silky smooth yummy puree.
It really is that simple! This recipe is very easy to make no extra effort is required.
It required no cooking, No steaming, and Absent roasting.
Washing
Wash berries in a deep-down bowl to avoid dirt particles. Take 2 bananas and peel them off.
Blending
Take a food processor. Add washed berries, and 2 peeled bananas with 2 tbsps. of milk. Here I am adding milk to make the consistency of puree. Then add 1 pinch of nutmeg spice, and 1 tbsp of sugar to add more sweetness. Blend until all the ingredients mix well and give a proper smooth, texture.
Here is the second step, I will add one thing after 20 seconds open the food processor and mix the blueberry scarp with a spoon so that the outer peel of the blueberries crushes evenly and mix well with the banana. The whole processor will take more or less two minutes. I always add some spice to my puree recipe. Here I am using nutmeg spice 1 pinch. I add this here because I want my niece to enjoy and experience another taste slowly with the richness of yummy and delicious puree.
Serving
After Blending smooth, purple pink colored delicious, yummy puree is ready to serve babies and let their taste buds enjoy another level of richness along with sweetness. Its color is so refreshing that your other kids will also want to have it as it looks so appealing. The grown-up kids can use yummy blueberry and banana puree as Jam Spread on bread slices.
By using the above-mentioned ingredients amount you will get almost 2 cups of puree.

The proper method of refrigeration
When your baby has enough diet yummy blueberry and banana puree then you need to save the leftover puree. So moms!! you need not get worried at all. Here I am going to share a simple way to protect the leftover puree for babies. First, take an air-tight container and put all leftovers inside it. Put tightly the lid on. Tap it on the table to remove air pockets in it. For extra protection wrap it with cling film. Place it in the refrigerator for 3-4 days head.
Freezing
Freezing can be done to protect puree from being rotten for up to 3 months
For long-term preservation
The proper method of freezing
Gather up all leftover puree. Squeeze 2 lemon juice in it. Mix it well.
Take a freezing plate. Put the puree inside the freezing plate compartments evenly. Remove the puree from the freezing plates’ sides. Place them in the freezer for 3 months.
Thawing
When you need to serve your baby then take out the freezing plates. Pop up the puree inside. Let them thaw at room temperature. If you want to serve baby then add 2-3 tbsp of milk. Mix it well. It will regain its original texture.

Blueberry ½ cup
Banana 2 medium-sized ( fully ripped)

- Washing
- Firstly we will take a deep bowl and add up all blueberries to avoid dirt particles.
- Blending Ingredients
- For making this super simple recipe you need no specific cooking method. Only blending of ingredients is required.
- Take a food processor. Add washed berries, two peeled bananas with 2 tbsps of milk.
- Here I am adding milk to ensure the consistency of the puree. 1 pinch of nutmeg spice with 1 small tbsp of sugar to add more sweetness
- Blend until all ingredients mix well and give a proper smooth texture.
Notes
- I have used spice (nutmeg 1 pinch ) here. You can try your baby’s other spices that will also go well with this puree recipe like rosemary, cinnamon, and green cardamom in ground form. Add only 1 pinch while blending ingredients.
- If you want more texture and thick consistency then feel free also to add 2-3 tbsp of thick curd. It will surely change the texture smoothness and taste also. Yum!!
- If you want blueberries to boil then it’s okay you can do this process. They will be boiled for 5 to 10 minutes. Then blend them with whole ingredients and your puree is done.
- Bananas should be ripped. Try to unripe bananas as their taste is less sweet and weird. They will also not blend evenly with berries
- Add other fruit like 1 or 2 pieces of apple if you want to add more vitamins to your baby’s diet. The more you want to add the more taste world will develop.
